Love

The emotional energy that allows forgiveness. Over looks
faults. We are all  born with the ability to love. 

It is the strongest and most motivating of all emotions.

It a positive force of nature! It relieves pain. It’s the same life source/force energy that pumps my heart that pumps your heart. 

The only emotion we need in our lives to survive! 

To give your physical and emotional energy without condition or expectation. 

It drives you to overcome, persevere, embrace the “suck” and be your very best self! 

It is the “why” you never leave your swim buddy behind......Love. 

It brings peace. God’s Greatest Gift is Love!

The Accountability Mirror.  What is it?  Goggins describes it like this:  You get up go to the mirror.  Who is looking back?   Are you seeing the person you expected?  Can you see your future Kick Ass self somewhere in the mirror?  Ask yourself "What is it going to take to get there?  What do you have to do".  Are you willing to do what it takes?  Are you willing to SUFFER?  Are you willing to get after it?  Are your willing to sacrifice? Who are You?  Are you seeing the person reflect back at you the person you think you are?  Or do you have work to do.  Are you Accountable?  Is what you do in private reflecting what you do and how you act in public? Functional Fitness

On My Death Bed I want to say, “I am glad I did, not that I wished I had!” What is functional fitness.  It is fitness for Life! Fitness for movement.  Being functionally fit means you have the strength and flexibility required to live  life at its fullest potential.   To have work capacity, endurance and strength. Flow if you will though all aspects of your life.    You must be ready for what ever life is going to through at you!  It is having a balance between strength, work capacity, endurance, flexibility and mental toughness.  You need to train in all of these areas. When you are functionally fit you are ready to take on anything.  You want to go for a run, a hike, a mountain bike ride,  surfing, SCUBA diving, a big back packing trip or life calls upon you to get to work.   When I get the call the Surf is Up or the Storms are Dumping Powder, I want to be physically ready, no hesitation.  Getting it done...

How I strive to live! What I have learned over years. This about sums it up. Today is a day I reflect on all I am. Today is a special day for me. I have now been brought back together with ALL of my family. So blessed to have the Mom and Dad who raised me and now I have my Birth parents and family in my life. I now know where I came from. I now have a clear vision where I am headed. I want my family and friends to know how grateful I am for all of you! I love you! Nothing like old friends (family). What does it mean to be world class.  I was having this discussion with a colleague at work after reading Robin Sharma's work. World-class embodies inner mastery and outward excellence.  World Class radiates  positive energy ,  calm , and   confidence , moving through life with a deep sense of  purpose  and  presence . Their self-awareness fuels  their actions aligning  with a clear, authentic   "why".  World Class are the" 1% of the 1% .   Be Sharp An ability to correctly assess and take in information through observation, listening, asking questions and applying past and current knowledge to arrive at correct solution or assessment of an issue or problem.  Then propose and put into place corrective action. Move in positive direction. The ability to be unattached to preconceived out comes. To take corrective action for change. Continue the RIGHT course when it is unpopular. In other words, having a “knowing” what is right. Having the self-confidence to do what is right. With self-awareness and practice flexing this mental it will become intuitive/ instinctive.

The Coin

  For Christmas in 2023 I gave a Decision coin to those I care deeply about.  I continue to give the coins and over the past year I have given out over 100.   What is a Decision coin you may ask? It is a coin used to make decisions of course.  When you find yourself in a position you need to make a choice between 2 things.  Assign one choice Heads and one Tails.  Flip the coin.  Where it lands is the one you go with it.   Do not look back! This started for me when I was on a trip the to the Big Island with close friends and my son Scott.  We found ourselves multiple times trying to make a choice on what to do, where to go or what to eat.  He would pull out this coin and say Head or Tails!  Flip it.  Off we could go!
