The Accountability Mirror.  What is it?  Goggins describes it like this:  You get up go to the mirror.  Who is looking back?   Are you seeing the person you expected?  Can you see your future Kick Ass self somewhere in the mirror?  Ask yourself "What is it going to take to get there?  What do you have to do".  Are you willing to do what it takes?  Are you willing to SUFFER?  Are you willing to get after it?  Are your willing to sacrifice?   A good friend and mentor "Life Coach" walked up to  me at the end of January and said "Man you look like Shit!".  He then gave me a big hug and said "Welcome Home Brother!"  I was on Maui for a conference and COVID was looking like we had it  controlled and hope insight.  He sat me down in the sand and for 45 minuted I closed my eyes and we meditated and did breathe work.   I did not realize how bad  the pandemic and dealing with the mental beating "We" as health care worker were/had taken.  I am broken.  Never could I have imagined that patients and the general public would turn on us and treat us with such disrespect and disregard.  I can only relate it to what my friends experienced that  came home from service in Vietnam.  The health care worker has now become the next Vietnam Vet in the public eye. Just relax, go with the flow of the ocean, duck dive under the wave avoiding the full power and negative forces.  By changing your perception of your position, you avoid the trauma of the negative energy crashing down on you.  You save yourself from the pain of being rolled.  Avoiding the possibility finding yourself  pinned to the bottom of the ocean.   Duck diving, you find yourself at peace under the wave surrounded by the peaceful silence of submersion. How I strive to live! What I have learned over years. This about sums it up. Today is a day I reflect on all I am. Today is a special day for me. I have now been brought back together with ALL of my family. So blessed to have the Mom and Dad who raised me and now I have my Birth parents and family in my life. I now know where I came from. I now have a clear vision where I am headed. I want my family and friends to know how grateful I am for all of you! I love you! Nothing like old friends (family). 40 Days A Son's Wisdom

  "40 Days" Recently my son Scott and I are sitting in the back yard taking in the stars. Spending  time together.  A great way to close the day.   Cold Beers in hand he starts asking me questions.   "Dad, How old are you now?".  "So, What is the average life expectancy of a man in the United States today?"  I start thinking  "where is this going?'.   Knowing how smart he is and how intuitive he is I start thinking this is going to go deep.  So, Dad.  "How many days/experiences have we had this year together?"  "Two" I answered. He then does some simple math.  If you live to the average age of 75 years of age, that calculates to  on average you have 20 years left.  We spent 2 days together this year.  That totals 40 days.
