Healthy Eats!

Healthy Cooking Made Easy! One of the fun ways I have found to healthy eating is with the use of a Bamboo Steamer.  Easy to use and inexpensive.  It is a true KISS technique in cooking! First assemble your ingredients.  I like fresh Veggies.  Slice and dice!  Get all the prep work done.  Be creative in placement in the Bamboo steamer. If using proteins like chicken or fish I recommend a small plate in the steamer to rest the chicken or  fish on.  When using shrimp,  I like using parchment paper.  Wrap the shrimp by folding the paper up tight  and place in the Bamboo steamer.  You want to protect the Steamer from the oils of the fish and chicken.   Once the Bamboo Steamer is full, put it back together.  Get you water boiling in a pot.  Once the water is boiling, place the Bamboo steamer on top and steam  for 8 to 10 minutes.  Remove from heat.  Add salt pepper and a squirt of lime juice and serve! Attitude of Gratitude! The Attitude of Gratitude is a daily practice.  It starts with humility.  Giving up control to a Higher Power. It is a choice.   Every day sit down, write it down!  State it! What you are Grateful for.  Whatever so small.  The wins.  The comfort.  The pure Joy you experience.  The people you are grateful for.  The experience you are grateful for.  The things in your life that make you happy.  Go right now, do it!  Grab a pen, paper and Journal.  Write it down!  Every day!   Then, give it back.  Say "Thank You!".  Serve others.  Share your life.  Share your love!  Share you light in the world.  Practice Gratitude each day.  Ask the question "What am I supposed to learn from this?".  Then say "Thank You!". Gratitude is a practice of constant reflection on the gifts in your life.   "You are free to Choose, you have the power to feel good anywhere anytime it’s up to you to choose to be happy or not!"

Positive Mental Attitude! Having a Positive Mental Attitude is one of the 4 cornerstones to Mental Toughness!  Even in the most challenging and roughest of times stay positive!  When the going gets tough, the Tough get Positive!  Being positive brings light to darkness. Being and staying  Positive is:  Part of the Solution  to getting things done.     It is an internal knowing it will all work out. Positive is a clear understanding failure is just another opportunity to learn and become better. Unattached to outcome.   Going for it!   Making adjustments on the fly.  Corrective actions to keep forward momentum  toward accomplishing the Mission. Be Kind! To be Kind is the innate ability to listen first to understand.  Not listen to just respond.  It is listening from the heart.  You show a genuine understanding and compassion toward another human being.  You not only listen to what the other is saying with their words but their tone of voice and body language is key.  You pay attention to the whole.  You are careful to listen to your inner voice and respond to what your intuition is telling you.  You give support.  You give grace.  You give forgiveness.  You share your joy.  You share your love..  You share your life!  To be kind is to seek to alleviate pain and suffering.  It is to be of service.  To show up when you are needed without being asked.  You share your valuable time unselfishly. Let Your Sole Guide You! To forgive yourself is an act of  baptism for your sole!  You release all the negative within you. You wash it away!  You give yourself to space to be Human.  No self judgment!  You release the thoughts of imperfection, unworthiness and self deprecation.  You are of value. You are worthy.  You are good!  You are a piece of God!  Living with no more guilt.  Free to be you.  This brings inner Peace and C alm. Self forgiveness now allows you to forgive others. This is a circuit workout.  Follow one exercise to the next.  Do the number of reps and move on.  Restart again until 3 rounds have been completed! Feed The Courage Wolf! In my office I have this photo of a Wolf. The Courage Wolf.   It reminds me of the Native American  story of the two Wolfs.   The one you feed is the one that grows within you.   You feed the Fear Wolf.   All that grows within you is Fear and Doubt.   You feed the Courage Wolf.   You grow courage, strength and a positive mental attitude.
