You may not find yourself doing what you are truly passionate about. You may not be good at your true passions. Do your best. Have excitement and positive energy about the task at hand!

What does it mean to be world class.  I was having this discussion with a colleague at work after reading Robin Sharma's work. World-class embodies inner mastery and outward excellence.  World Class radiates  positive energy ,  calm , and   confidence , moving through life with a deep sense of  purpose  and  presence . Their self-awareness fuels  their actions aligning  with a clear, authentic   "why".  World Class are the" 1% of the 1% . What I Learned Surfing Costa Rica

Live life! Love Life! Saver Life! JUST BE! Be in the moment! It is  never a bad day when you are your surf board! I was so excited to fulfill my life time goal of learning to surf. Ever since I was a young boy living in Hawaii I have wanted to learn to surf.   I am now part  a very elite group of athletes.  Surfers talk in a language different than the rest. How surfing has a huge impact in their lives. On some level, it is a religion. This became very clear to me! The surfing life style is a religion. A life style, a way of viewing the word that brings life into perspective. What is really important! This attitude or view has truly changed my life. This mind set weaves in and out of both the Emotional and Intuitional Mountains. Health This is the corner of stone life. Mental, Physical, Spiritual. Eat fresh and whole food. If you can paint a colorful picture with  the colors on your plate, you are eating well!  Add seeds and nuts for snacks.   Serving size no larger than your fist. Avoid the 3 white devils: Sugar, processed flower and dairy. A high fiber diet keeps our gut biome or good bacteria healthy which in turn, keeps you healthy! Hydrate.  No soda! 1 oz of water per 2 pounds of body weight per day!   Above and beyond your water intake requirement, c offee and tea are excellent antioxidants in moderation. Studies are now demonstrating that they have cancer preventing qualities. They may also help with improving diabetes and cardiovascular health. Ropes!

When I was growing up as a young man a metaphor  I was taught by my tribal  leaders was about a Kite.  When you fly a Kite the string is what gives the Kite its stability.  The stings connected to the ground is what keeps the Kite in flight and not whisked away in the wind. Keep a tight hold to the ground through the string.   The Kite is you, the Sting is the principles taught. This guiding principles are what will keep you grounded and safe. I asked the question "What if there is a storm?  A Kite bound to the ground by string will  that not tear apart the Kite?".  The string becomes a burden.    Like the elephant and the string. "The wise person not choosing to jump into floodwaters, but when surrounded by them, accepting struggle, endure by choosing peace over war".   Seneca, Moral Letters, 28.7 This is surfing.  Actually, this is Life!  A  surfer paddling into big waves, will relax, go with the flow.  Meets the  wave.  Duck dives under the wave avoiding the full power and upward force.  Drawing onto the face of the wave.  The same can be true in life when facing daunting and overwhelming stress, tragedy negativity or trauma.  What is a "Duck Dive"?   It's when a surfer changes their position on the board as large wave approaches.  Large waves have the force to pick up and crash the surfer down on to the reef.   The wave also has an opposite and protective energy. “We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.” — Dalai Lama Funny thing manure.  It has a smell that can be down right over powering!  You immediately recognizing it when you smell it.  I was once told by a General Surgeon if you don't know Shit don't mess with it.  What he was referring to was the bowel.  If you can't fix the  issue you may find yourself  operating on, leave it to the ones who know what they are doing.  For me as a Gynecological Surgeon it meant to stay in my zip code, the pelvis when operating.  Good advice.  Stay away from shit!   In life maybe there is similar advise we should heed.    We have those people in our lives that are constantly negative.
