Defining World Class

What does it mean to be world class.  I was having this discussion with a colleague at work after reading Robin Sharma's work. World-class embodies inner mastery and outward excellence.  World Class radiates  positive energy ,  calm , and   confidence , moving through life with a deep sense of  purpose  and  presence . Their self-awareness fuels  their actions aligning  with a clear, authentic   "why".  World Class are the" 1% of the 1% . A SOLDIER’S PRAYER I'm asking You God, to give me what You have left. Give me those things which others never ask of You. I don't ask You for rest, or tranquility. Not that of the spirit, the body, or the mind. I don't ask You for wealth, or success, or even health. All those things are asked of You so much Lord, that you can't have any left to give. Give me instead Lord what You have left. Give me what others don't want. I want uncertainty and doubt. I want torment and battle. And I ask that You give them to me now and forever Lord, so I can be sure to always have them, because I won't always have the strength to ask again. But give me also the courage, the energy, and the spirit to face them. I ask You these things Lord, because I can't ask them of myself.

40 Days A Son's Wisdom

  "40 Days" Recently my son Scott and I are sitting in the back yard taking in the stars. Spending  time together.  A great way to close the day.   Cold Beers in hand he starts asking me questions.   "Dad, How old are you now?".  "So, What is the average life expectancy of a man in the United States today?"  I start thinking  "where is this going?'.   Knowing how smart he is and how intuitive he is I start thinking this is going to go deep.  So, Dad.  "How many days/experiences have we had this year together?"  "Two" I answered. He then does some simple math.  If you live to the average age of 75 years of age, that calculates to  on average you have 20 years left.  We spent 2 days together this year.  That totals 40 days. Why I Serve

"Life is Suffering" I am grateful for the system of Unbeatable Mind.  Mark Divine put it together to get people through the toughest training on the planet.  BUDS! (Is Mark a poser? Or the real deal). He gave me the tools. I did the work. It was always up to me.  What it boils down to is what Buddha taught.....life is suffering.  When you let go, you understand it’s ok to suffer.  Get calm, get in your own head.  Get really quiet.  You gain an internal knowing.  I got this!  It’s going to be ok.  It’s the Big 4 (Breathe, Positive Attitude, Micro Goals, Envision Success).  Then you are at peace.  Peace overflows. You are at first alone. Then with fellow sufferers. Simplify "A Hero's Journey"

" I went to Medical school to help myself and others live the best and healthiest lives possible.  The day I started Medical School was the day I started  down the path of dis-Health or Disease (Diss Ease) .  So what is a Hero's Journey?  Why not just become "Enlightened"?  Practice Mindfulness? Or, Better yet, go to therapy the rest of your life doing mental masturbation on how bad your childhood was.  The poor me I am  not responsible feel good approach?  Blow smoke up your ass and blame  the world for all your of problems "this really is not my fault".  My question to myself was and still is "how do I get better?".  How do I become the very best version of myself?  How do I not only become the very best version of me on the inside but outside.  Physically Mentally and Spiritual self.  The BEST son, brother, nephew, grandson, friend, husband, father, student, doctor and Human can I become?...

  Be Sharp An ability to correctly assess and take in information through observation, listening, asking questions and applying past and current knowledge to arrive at correct solution or assessment of an issue or problem.  Then propose and put into place corrective action. Move in positive direction. The ability to be unattached to preconceived out comes. To take corrective action for change. Continue the RIGHT course when it is unpopular. In other words, having a “knowing” what is right. Having the self-confidence to do what is right. With self-awareness and practice flexing this mental it will become intuitive/ instinctive.

Life’s Angels and Life Guards As I grow  and climb up the Intuitional Mountain, I have come to appreciate that still small voice in my head.  I am learning the value of paying attention to it.  When it tells me to call a friend or reach out to someone I do it.  I am more willing now than ever to face my fear.  I listen when it tells me to avoid a danger. It tells me to  chase a  dream I do it. Get uncomfortable, OK.  I do it!  It's living from the Heart!  Living from your Gut! You never know when or if you are ever going to see that person again. These moments are so valuable.  Listen. Respond. It  can and will keep you out of trouble.  You may even  help a fellow traveler.  Being in  the right place at the right time to help a friend or even a stranger in need.  Being that persons Life Guard.  Guiding that person to safety.  The opportunity to be someones Angel.  Their support....
