"The wise person not choosing to jump into floodwaters, but when surrounded by them, accepting struggle, endure by choosing peace over war".   Seneca, Moral Letters, 28.7 This is surfing.  Actually, this is Life!  A  surfer paddling into big waves, will relax, go with the flow.  Meets the  wave.  Duck dives under the wave avoiding the full power and upward force.  Drawing onto the face of the wave.  The same can be true in life when facing daunting and overwhelming stress, tragedy negativity or trauma.  What is a "Duck Dive"?   It's when a surfer changes their position on the board as large wave approaches.  Large waves have the force to pick up and crash the surfer down on to the reef.   The wave also has an opposite and protective energy. Ducks: Live in the the Duck Pond. Ducks keep repeating the same thing again and again getting the same results.  They  swim around the pond constantly complaining "Nothing in my life every changes".  The negative Nellie.   They do just what is asked. The Walk

Once upon a time, not too long ago, a Father and son set off for a walk.  It was the end of the day and the sun was beginning to set.  They headed for their favorite spot on a local beach.  When they arrived they could see the sun on the horizon kissing the water with brilliant yellows and burring oranges.  The water answered back with reflecting colors of deep blues and majestic purples.  They sat themselves down in the cool sand to take in the site. After a few minutes the father turned to his son and asked "Son, when you look at the mountains behind us, what do you see?". His son thought for a time and then said "I see large fields to run and play in.  I see trees to climb and wild life to chase.  I see mountains covered in snow for me to ski down.  That is what I see when I look at the mountains behind us". Why I Serve

"Life is Suffering" I am grateful for the system of Unbeatable Mind.  Mark Divine put it together to get people through the toughest training on the planet.  BUDS! (Is Mark a poser? Or the real deal). He gave me the tools. I did the work. It was always up to me.  What it boils down to is what Buddha taught.....life is suffering.  When you let go, you understand it’s ok to suffer.  Get calm, get in your own head.  Get really quiet.  You gain an internal knowing.  I got this!  It’s going to be ok.  It’s the Big 4 (Breathe, Positive Attitude, Micro Goals, Envision Success).  Then you are at peace.  Peace overflows. You are at first alone. Then with fellow sufferers.
