Understanding you have enough makes you Rich!

Be  in balanced.  Live Centered.  Though this you can totally embrace Death.  From this place, you flow with and become one again with Tao/God. Enduring forever.

Defining World Class

What does it mean to be world class.  I was having this discussion with a colleague at work after reading Robin Sharma's work. World-class embodies inner mastery and outward excellence.  World Class radiates  positive energy ,  calm , and   confidence , moving through life with a deep sense of  purpose  and  presence . Their self-awareness fuels  their actions aligning  with a clear, authentic   "why".  World Class are the" 1% of the 1% . WOD "Workout Of The Day #1"

When I was growing up as a young man a metaphor  I was taught by my tribal  leaders was about a Kite.  When you fly a Kite the string is what gives the Kite its stability.  The stings connected to the ground is what keeps the Kite in flight and not whisked away in the wind. Keep a tight hold to the ground through the string.   The Kite is you, the Sting is the principles taught. This guiding principles are what will keep you grounded and safe. I asked the question "What if there is a storm?  A Kite bound to the ground by string will  that not tear apart the Kite?".  The string becomes a burden.    Like the elephant and the string. Rules for Success I have spent a lot of time studying people I find inspiring. My mentors if you will.   People I look up to.  I wanted to know what makes them tic, how they become who they are and how they overcome adversity.  Here are the common threads I have discovered. 1. Have a desire to win!  Win! Not at all cost. But WIN! Be a winner. Think, Act and Talk like a Winner! That means at times, you must learn accept loss and understand why. How you were not prepared. Or maybe the other person was just better than you. You still come away a better person for the experience. This will lead to becoming a winner. This is the foundation to be a winner! OODA loop! (Observe, Orientate, Decide, Act). It is a constant state of evaluation and making corrective change/action for improvement. It is Non-Attachment to the outcome and complete focus on "the moment". Attitude of Gratitude "1,000 Thank Yous"

"Mahalo Ke Akua" Mahalo "Thank You".  Ke Akua, "God". Thank you for the clean air that I breath, the fresh water  I drink, the healthy food I eat and the roof over my head.  Most importantly, Thank You for all the wonderful loving people that  have been in my life, currently in my life and  who will come into my life! The Walk

Once upon a time, not too long ago, a Father and son set off for a walk.  It was the end of the day and the sun was beginning to set.  They headed for their favorite spot on a local beach.  When they arrived they could see the sun on the horizon kissing the water with brilliant yellows and burring oranges.  The water answered back with reflecting colors of deep blues and majestic purples.  They sat themselves down in the cool sand to take in the site. After a few minutes the father turned to his son and asked "Son, when you look at the mountains behind us, what do you see?". His son thought for a time and then said "I see large fields to run and play in.  I see trees to climb and wild life to chase.  I see mountains covered in snow for me to ski down.  That is what I see when I look at the mountains behind us". On My Death Bed I want to say, “I am glad I did, not that I wished I had!” What is functional fitness.  It is fitness for Life! Fitness for movement.  Being functionally fit means you have the strength and flexibility required to live  life at its fullest potential.   To have work capacity, endurance and strength. Flow if you will though all aspects of your life.    You must be ready for what ever life is going to through at you!  It is having a balance between strength, work capacity, endurance, flexibility and mental toughness.  You need to train in all of these areas. When you are functionally fit you are ready to take on anything.  You want to go for a run, a hike, a mountain bike ride,  surfing, SCUBA diving, a big back packing trip or life calls upon you to get to work.   When I get the call the Surf is Up or the Storms are Dumping Powder, I want to be physically ready, no hesitation.  Getting it done...
